What it is
Kojic Acid Dipalmitate is an ester of Kojic Acid, made by combining kojic acid and palmitic acid and is more stable than Kojic acid. It works by inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase present in human skin so as to inhibit the melanin formation and produce excellent effects in whitening skin and to reduce the appearance of age-spot. Application: Anti-aging preparations, skin whitening/lightening, body/facial care toners, sun protection, after-sun & self-tanning, treatment for a variety of skin hyperpigmentation conditions or disorders, e.g. scars, freckles, age pigment and other local hyperpigmented regions Usage Rate: 1-7% INCI: Kojic Acid Dipalmitate CAS NO: 79725-98-7 Oil soluble, and works at a wide pH range Add to heated oil phase of emulsion and heat to 80-85oC Formulating Tip: KAD can precipitate after heating, we suggest adding Isopropyl Palmitate or Isopropyl Myristate and use in emulsions or shake before use body oils.
