What it is
Cocamidopropyl Betaine (CAPB) is a mild amphoteric surfactant derived from coconut oil. Suitable for formulating shampoos, body wash, baby wash and other products. It has great foam properties with rich, thick lather, It is a surfactant that break the surface tension in water, loosen dirt, then rinse it away. It’s also useful for creating thicker, more luxurious-feeling formulas. CAPB can be used as the main or primary surfactant for products for babies, dry and/or sensitive skin, it can also be used in products that do not require rinsing such as micellar waters or make-up remover wipes. INCI Name: Cocamidopropyl betaine Usage Rate: 4-40% Solid content/ASM: 35% Supplied pH 5-7.5
